Flooding Pinterest pages and social media, “Cherry Cola” takes over as a top hair color for fall. By combining a dark red with hints of purple, the color creates a timeless look that corresponds with the color palette of the season. Pairing perfectly with colors like olive green, burgundy red, and mustard yellow, cherry cola incorporates a vibrant color that matches the fiery hues of autumn.

Matching the shift from summer into autumn, patterns such as polka dots are making their return in popular stores like Hollister. A trend that peaked in the 80s and 90s has resurfaced in the fashion industry, debuting in the 2025 spring and summer Vogue runway shows. Vogue and other fashion designers have displayed how polka dots can be incorporated into any outfit and easily mixed with other patterns and fabrics. Plaid and denim skirts, leather jackets, and lace tights are all chic options that, when coupled with polka dots, will elevate an entire look. 

Polka dots aren’t the only trend that has reappeared in mainstream fashion, with low-rise and baggy jeans also making a comeback. Popping up in clothing commercials and advertisements, denim companies such as GAP are marketing their jeans to be a baggier fit and reflect styles from the 90s. In their latest ad with the popular girl group Katseye, GAP utilized a well-known song, Milkshake, and a captivating dance to promote loose-fitting, comfortable denim, attracting and influencing many people to purchase them. Other media outlets, such as TikTok, have made them a staple piece to complement fall’s brisk, chilly weather.

To finish building an outfit, there has to be a pair of cute shoes to tie it all together. A pair of tall leather boots is the flawless way to go, turning a mediocre outfit into a stylish ensemble. Whether they are worn with a mini skirt or flare jeans, boots make a bold fashion statement, while also allowing comfortability and versatility. Boots can also be bought in a majority of colors, allowing for a variety of styles that can each contribute to an outfit differently. 

From season to season, new styles develop and trends change daily. Fall is the perfect time to explore fashion and find trends that fit each person uniquely. All of the varieties of patterns, colors, and clothing allows people to express themselves creatively and show their personality through what they have on.
