North roared with spirit last week as students celebrated the 2025 Homecoming, themed “Glo-Co.” With themed dress-up days, senior sunrise, a powderpuff game, a packed pep rally and a victorious football game, the event brings students and faculty together every year.
Homecoming at North is always a highly anticipated event, having girls buy their dresses 6 months in advance while guys scramble to think of creative proposal ideas. North’s Student Council plans accordingly—working in close with faculty advisors, spending months coordinating logistics, faculty, safety, and making big decisions—to assure a dance of this scale runs smoothly. It marks not only the midpoint of the semester but also a moment when every student, from freshman to seniors, participates in something collective.
For many, “Glo-Co” captured what Homecoming is meant to be all about: a bright, memorable reminder of connection and pride. The blend of tradition and innovation, seen in everything from the game to the dance, demonstrated how North continues to adapt its traditions and how Homecoming functions as a unifying force from the interests and creativity of its students.
Unlike past years’ nostalgic themes, this year’s Homecoming leaned into a more intergalactic aesthetic. The football field was filled with lights, hanging planet balloons, and ultraviolet decorations. The atmosphere matched the theme’s focus on energy and movement, from the mosh-pit to the splash of bright neon colors.
As the lights dimmed and the music ended, what remained was more than just a weekend of celebration. Homecoming 2025 served as a reflection of North’s tiger spirit and pride, it continues to evolve, yet remains rooted in the same sense of belonging that defines the school year after year.
